Amanda Brown is currently based in Portland, Oregon. Through working intimately with the land and its’ creatures from birth she has cultivated a deep respect for life. Her work, like herself, carries great depth and is an open book, welcoming to beings from all different paths.
Amanda’s love for image-making derives from her deep connection with those writers, musicians, and visual artists who came before. She is highly influenced by the beat generation and finds her ground in Eastern philosophy. Amanda sees life as a web of interconnectedness, and this radiates through her work with an engaging familiarity. She is incredibly thoughtful when it comes to making images, witnessing the relationship of shadow and light as a humble student.
